Hold and Win
From 4 rows to 8 rows with progressive unlocking system
Egypt Fire introduces a revolutionary grid expansion system during the Hold and Win bonus. The base game operates on a standard 5x3 grid with 20 fixed paylines, but trigger 6 or more Bonus or Mystery Token symbols, and you enter a completely different playing field.
The bonus game starts with a 6x4 grid (24 positions). As you collect Bonus symbols, the grid physically expands upwards, unlocking additional rows. This is not cosmetic - each new row adds 6 more positions where symbols can land, dramatically increasing your win potential.
| Row Unlocked | Symbols Required | Total Positions |
|---|---|---|
| Rows 1-4 (Base) | 6 to trigger | 24 |
| Row 5 | 10 symbols | 30 |
| Row 6 | 15 symbols | 36 |
| Row 7 | 20 symbols | 42 |
| Row 8 | 25 symbols | 48 |
Critical mechanic: Symbols landing on rows 6, 7, and 8 are collected into a progress bar. Fill this bar, and you trigger the Jackpot Game where one of the five progressive jackpots is guaranteed.
You start with 3 respins. Each new Bonus or Mystery Token that lands resets the counter back to 3. All landed symbols stick to the reels. The feature ends when you run out of respins or fill all 48 positions (which would be an extraordinary win).
Flaming Torch Wild substitutes for all regular symbols. Pays independently: 3 symbols = 4.00x, 4 symbols = 15.00x, 5 symbols = 50.00x your bet. Appears in base game and free spins.
Land 3 Golden Door Scatters anywhere to win 8 free spins. During free spins, only premium symbols (Cleopatra, Falcon, Ankh, Fan) appear on reels. Retrigger with 2 Scatters for 5 additional spins.
Special coins that count towards Hold and Win trigger. During the bonus, Mystery Tokens activate the Jackpot Game wheel where you spin for one of five progressive jackpots ranging from Mini (45.00) to Royal (10,000x).
Highest paying regular symbol. Golden headdress, dark hair. Pays 1.00x for 3, 3.00x for 4, and 6.20x for 5 of a kind. Only appears in free spins alongside other premium symbols.
Green Egyptian bird pays 0.50x for 3, 1.00x for 4, 3.00x for 5 symbols. Second highest premium symbol. Part of the exclusive free spins symbol set.
Gold Ankh cross and purple decorative Fan. Both pay 0.30x for 3, 0.50x for 4. Ankh pays 1.40x for 5, Fan pays 0.51x for 5. Lower premium tier.
After extensive play sessions, Egypt Fire reveals itself as a high volatility slot with intelligent variance distribution. The 20 fixed paylines running left to right provide steady base game hits, but the real mathematical weight sits in the Hold and Win feature.
The five-tier jackpot system (Mini, Minor, Major, Grand, Royal) provides win ceiling diversity. The Royal jackpot at 10,000x is fixed, meaning it does not seed from previous play - it is always available at maximum value. The four progressive jackpots (Grand starting at 3,000.00, Major at 200.00, Minor at 80.00, Mini at 45.00) grow with network play.
Free spins strategy differs fundamentally from base game. With only premium symbols on reels (Cleopatra, Falcon, Ankh, Fan) and Wilds, every spin has higher win potential but lower hit frequency. The 8 initial spins with retrigger possibility (2 Scatters = 5 more spins) can extend significantly. Maximum observed in testing: 23 total free spins from multiple retriggers.
Symbol distribution analysis reveals the game front-loads low-value card symbols (J, Q, K, A) in base game, all paying identically (0.10x for 3, 0.25x for 4, 0.50x for 5) except Jack which pays 0.60x for 5. This creates frequent small wins that sustain bankroll between feature triggers.
The visual design supports gameplay: winning paylines illuminate with diagonal fire effects in orange-yellow flames, making it immediately clear which symbols contributed. The yellow dots connected by lines show all 20 paylines, numbered in white text on yellow squares.
All payouts shown as multipliers of total bet
Interface Design: The main screen displays an Egyptian temple backdrop with sandstone columns in warm orange-red tones. Left panel shows all five jackpot values on dark red background with colour-coded text (Royal in yellow, Grand in red, Major in blue, Minor in purple, Mini in green). Bottom panel houses win display, balance, and bet amount in dark grey with white text.
Control System: Right panel contains three buttons - Menu (three horizontal lines), Sound (speaker icon), and Turbo (lightning bolt icon). Betting interface uses a 6x3 grid plus additional row layout, with all 21 bet values displayed. Max Bet button sits on the right side for instant maximum stake selection.
Information Access: Menu button opens 7-page information system covering paytable premium symbols, paytable regular symbols, bonus game mechanics, rows unlocking system, jackpots explanation, free spins rules, and win lines diagram. Navigation uses up/down arrows with page indicator showing current/total format.
Visual Feedback: Winning paylines animate with diagonal fire lines in orange-yellow flames sweeping across reels. Winning symbols receive glowing borders. Scatter symbols landing trigger golden shimmer effect. Wild activation produces fire burst animation. All effects designed for instant recognition without interfering with gameplay flow.
Audio Design: Background music uses Egyptian-themed instrumentation. Win sounds combine coins and celebration effects. Free spins trigger plays dramatic gong. Jackpot wins deliver triumphant fanfare. Bonus game features suspenseful drums that increase in tempo as respins decrease.
Mobile Optimisation: Interface scales responsively to screen size. All interactive elements sized for finger touch (minimum 44x44 pixels). Landscape and portrait orientations supported. Jackpot display remains visible during all game states. Betting grid adapts to available screen width without horizontal scrolling.
Egypt Fire is a game of chance with high volatility characteristics. The Hold and Win feature and progressive jackpots create significant win potential but also extended periods without major wins. Set deposit limits before playing. Never chase losses. The 10,000x Royal Jackpot is a fixed maximum, not a guaranteed outcome. Progressive jackpots (Grand, Major, Minor, Mini) display current values which reset to base amounts after wins. Only play with funds you can afford to lose. If gambling stops being entertainment, seek help from GamCare or BeGambleAware. Players must be 18 years or older. Game outcome is determined by random number generator certified for fairness.
